Throughout an athletes career you will be shaping and developing a number of cognitive, behavioural and emotional factors and you will be guiding athletes through a number of developmental and psychological transitions. Within the world of sport there has been an underutilisation of mental health services and the current approach to mental illness is fraught with stigmatisation.
